Big League Baseball Instruction - Staff Lessons

Rarely will you find the weatlh of baseball kowledge and experience assembled at Big League Baseball Instruction.

With a staff of current and former college and professional players, coaches, and scouts, Big League Baseball Instruction provides skill, physical, and mental training for baseball players. Our individual instruction is personalized for each player and we take the time to get to know several aspects of the individual, the skill level, and individual personal goals. Our year-round approach to instruction provides both in-season and off-season focus. We encourage our players to participate in additional sports through high school, to further enhance their athletic ability. By providing instruction throught the entire year, our player's physical and mental skill levels continue to increase and their knowledge of the game continues to grow, even when they are not playing regularly. There is truth to the saying that "when you are not working, your competition is".

Each Big League Baseball Instruction session is scheduled for 50 minutes, focusing on skill and strategy, mental growth, and mastery of core fundamentals. Our instructors take the time to explain and demonstrate drills, and discuss what each drill will accomplish. A core, fundmental player will always have something to fall back to, especially when the going gets tough. As mastery of the core fundamentals increases, advanced concepts are introduced.

Our instruction professionals cover hitting, pitching, catching and all defensive positions. Rarely will you find the weatlh of baseball kowledge and experience available through Big League Baseball Instruction. Just check out our staff!

Existing program participants are eligible for discounted instruction rates for new client referrals. Please ask the staff for more details.

Individual Instruction
One-on-one, customized training to meet individual goals. Hands-on demonstration and instruction with one of our professionals for a full 50 minutes. Depending on your area of focus, our instructors will evaluate what you need to work on, and then assist you in working through drills and other activities to mastery.

Group Instruction

Training for groups of 2 - 4 are more focused on those activities that can be understood and worked on in small groups. There is less time to focus on an individual in our group training so these sessions are very productive if you have groups of players that need instruction in the same areas. These sessions are still hands-on with plenty of demonstration and feedback.

Evaluations, Analysis, and Feedback

The Big League Baseball Instruction program continually evaluates players to be able to provide instruction specific to each players needs. Our instructors talk to our players to understand how they are performing, what they are experiencing, and why they think things are happening. By having these exchanges with our players, they begin to understand corrections, and adjustments and it gives the players a growing bank of information to apply when needed.

For our older players who have the desire, commitment, and skill level to continue their playing days after high school, we provide player evaluations as part of our college placement assistance program to track progress, provide feedback, and compare to other players in collefiate and professional ranks. These formal evaluations usually begin at age 15 and continue through the high school years. Using a rating system, we are able to tell players where they stack up against College and MLB players. This provides motivation for the player and gives us data to understand where improvement is needed.

For formal evaluations, we conduct an initial session when you join Big League Baseball Instruction, and then periodically as the player continues. This gives us data to understand patterns and record progress. This data also assists us with college placement.
