We Are -
As baseball becomes
more competitive, individual instruction
in the basic fundamentals is a way
to get ahead, and stay ahead, of
the competition. We utilize the
knowledge and skills of current
and former college and professional
players, to help you reach your
goals. Depending on your area of
focus, you will be working with
one of our outstanding instructors.

Little Leaguers to professional
players, our program is comprehensive
in nature and strives to touch on
all development areas of the individual.

individual athletic ability and
mental preparedness to realize their

Big League Baseball Instruction's
focus is to train, develop, prepare,
and return the investment made by
each individual. We continuously
monitor and improve ourselves and
are continually looking for new
opportunities to enhance the experience
of all involved in our program.
By utilizing
our national college and professional
contacts, teaching various techniques
used by professionals, and evaluating
each athlete's development and progress,
we assist in evaluating, recommending,
and placing players at the next
level.
We believe that together we can
assist each individual in accomplishing
his objectives and goals by combining
a player's desire, dedication, and
hard work with our instruction.

Meet
the Director: Rafael Melchione
Rafael
played professionally from 1995 to 2002
with stops in Anaheim with the Angels,
and Oakland with the Athletics. In the
off-seasons, Rafael began instructing
hitting and developed a proven methodology
for teaching the proper swing. He has
served as a hitting instructor for many
major and minor league players, as an
instructor for the Anaheim Angels, Chicago Cubs and
San Francisco Giants, and as Hitting
Coach for the Mesa Miners, and the Reno
Silver Sox. The Silver Sox led the independent
Golden League in hitting in 2006 and
Rafael was selected as a Golden League
All-Star Hitting Coach. In 2007, Rafael
decided to devote full time to Big League
Baseball Instruction to continue the
excellence started several years ago.
Rafael trained under former Dodger slugger
Reggie Smith and legendary hitting instructor,
Jim Lefebvre. Raffy is personally responsible
for placing over 140 of BLBI's students
into college programs.

is one of the most sought
after hitting instructors
in the Phoenix area. Raffy
